Happy Birthday Weld Food Bank (You’re Invited to the Party)
The Weld Food Bank in Greeley was established in 1982, and is celebrating its 30th birthday. You're invited to the 80's themed birthday bash this evening from 5-7pm, with live music by 'Retro.' In honor of 30 years they will be selling 30 cent hot dogs, chips, sodas, snow cones, and cotton candy. You can take a tour of their warehouse, and sneak a peek at some of our their photos.
New Partnerships Facilitate Cooking Classes at Weld Food Bank
Recent figures show that approximately 1 of 6 people and 1 of 4 children in Weld County are hungry. Weld Food Bank’s goal is to lead and engage our community in the fight against hunger. For the past thirty years, the organization has been proudly serving the hungry in Weld County through partner agencies, food box distribution, and children’s programs.
The Food Bank is Looking for YOU
The Weld Food Bank is looking for a few good men. Or women. Or well-behaved teens if accompanied by their parents. The summer months are a time when there is less volunteerism at the food bank. There are a variety of reasons – family vacations, the universities are on break and students are away, other pressing priorities. However, people are hungry all year long and the food bank is in action – working to make a difference in our community.

April is National Volunteer Month! A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to join my co-workers at Townsquare Media in volunteering at the Weld Food Bank. It was really cool. Over the past 25 years I have literally volunteered to host or be a part of hundreds of events in Northern Colorado, but this was different!
