The Weld Food Bank is looking for a few good men. Or women. Or well-behaved teens if accompanied by their parents. The summer months are a time when there is less volunteerism at the food bank. There are a variety of reasons – family vacations, the universities are on break and students are away, other pressing priorities. However, people are hungry all year long and the food bank is in action –
The Annual Taste of Fort Collins is June 9th and 10th in Civic Center Park. The event benefits Special Olympics Colorado. The money raised helps fund 30 Special Olympics events, helps pay for equipment, and facility usage. Special Olympics needs volunteers to help at this year's event.
April is National Volunteer Month! A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to join my co-workers at Townsquare Media in volunteering at the Weld Food Bank. It was really cool. Over the past 25 years I have literally volunteered to host or be a part of hundreds of events in Northern Colorado, but this was different!
