UNC Bears

It was one and out for the CSU Rams men's basketball team.  Colorado State was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by Murray State in the 1st round.  Meanwhile, Governor Hickenlooper declared today as "CSU and CU are Dancing Day" and ordered that the schools' flags be flown over the state Capitol as long as their teams remain in the NCAA tournament.  The CU Buffs play UNLV tonight in the

"Tebow-Mania" is even affecting the UNC Bears.  The Northern Colorado  men's basketball home game this Saturday against Eastern Washington has moved up an hour, to 4:05 p.m. , to accommodate Saturday's NFL divisional playoff game between Denver and New England.  The Broncos and the Patriots are scheduled to kick off a little after 6 p.m.

The Big Sky Conference leading and 4th ranked Montana State Bobcats (6-1, 4-0) visit Nottingham Field this afternoon to face the UNC Bears (0-7, 0-3) at 1:35pm. The game time forecast for 'Family & Friends Day' is for beautiful October sunshine and temps in the mid-70s. GO BEARS!

The Big Sky Conference preseason Men's Basketball polls are out, and the defending champion UNC Bears are not favored to repeat. Northern Colorado has been picked to finish 3rd in the media poll, and 4th in the preseason coaches poll. Weber State was the top pick in both polls.

Last season was a big one for the UNC Bears Men's Basketball team, and many seem to think that the UNC Women could have a big year this season. The UNC Women have been picked to finish second in the Big Sky Conference in the preseason media poll, following Portland State, picked to finish on top.

Saturday marks the 30th anniversary of CSU's Ag Day!  It also a special day because the Rams are playing the UNC Bears for the 1st time in 25 years. The Rams will be wearing their orange jerseys, so wear orange to support the team. K99 will be on sight with Todd Harding doing a live broadcast and live music from Bob Purcell and the Outriders!

Have you ever wanted to be on the basketball team, but didn't get a scholarship to play.  Here is your chance! The UNC Bears are holding open tryouts for the team.  There is one catch! You have to be a student at the school.

The UNC Bears men's basketball team wrapped up its first Big Sky Conference championship last night with an 84-54 win over Sacramento State at  Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion. The Bears  finished a game ahead of Montana  in this year's Big Sky regular-season race and earned their first conference crown in 21 seasons.
