For the fifth straight year, the CSU Rams volleyball team will start the season ranked in American Volleyball Coaches Association Division I Coaches 2012 Preseason Poll. Meanwhile, the UNC Bears volleyball team is picked to finish 1st in the Big Sky Conference.

It was one and out for the CSU Rams men's basketball team. Colorado State was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by Murray State in the 1st round yesterday. Meanwhile, the CU Buffs were one of the 2 lower seeded teams that won on Thursday.

It was one and out for the CSU Rams men's basketball team. Colorado State was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by Murray State in the 1st round. Meanwhile, Governor Hickenlooper declared today as "CSU and CU are Dancing Day" and ordered that the schools' flags be flown over the state Capitol as long as their teams remain in the NCAA tournament. The CU Buffs play UNLV tonight in the tournament.

The Northern Colorado men's basketball home game this Saturday against Eastern Washington has moved up an hour, to 4:05 p.m. , to accommodate Saturday's NFL divisional playoff game between Denver and New England. The Broncos and the Patriots are scheduled to kick off a little after 6 p.m.

The Big Sky Conference preseason Men's Basketball polls are out, and the defending champion UNC Bears are not favored to repeat. Northern Colorado has been picked to finish 3rd in the media poll, and 4th in the preseason coaches poll. Weber State was the top pick in both polls.

UNC Wins Big Sky Championship

The UNC Bears men's basketball team wrapped up its first Big Sky Conference championship last night with an 84-54 win over Sacramento State at Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion. The Bears finished a game ahead of Montana in this year's Big Sky regular-season race and earned their first conference crown in 21 seasons.
