It’s Tournament Time – CU Men & UNC Women Win – CSU Men Out

Two local teams advanced last night in their conference tournaments. One did not.  The CU Buffs men's basketball team advanced the Pac-12 Championship last night and the UNC Lady Bears advanced to Big Sky Championship.  The CSU  men were bounced from the Mountain West Tournament last night by top-seeded San Diego State.

The CU Buffs and CSU Rams are both one step closer to the Big Dance.  Both men's basketball teams  won last night in their conference tournaments.  Colorado State will play in the Semi-Final of the Mountain West Tournament tonight the University of Colorado will  play in the Semi-Finals of the Pac-12 Tournament tonight!

It's tournament time for college basketball. The Mountain West, Big Sky, and Pac 12 tournaments are all underway.  The  CU men and women both advanced yesterday.  The CSU women were eliminated from the Mountain West Tournament, and the CSU men play today!

It's tournament time for college basketball. The Mountain West, Big Sky, and Pac 12 tournaments are all being held this week. The last of 10 public forums to discus a proposed on-campus stadium at  Colorado State  University are being held tonight and tomorrow night in Fort Collins.   Registration is required. Walk-ups will be seated only if space is available.

Fiery Crash Halts Daytona 500 For 2 Hours – Kenseth Wins Race [PICTURES]

Matt Kenseth held off Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Greg Biffle to win his 2nd Daytona 500. The race started under the lights last night because of number of rain delays, but didn’t finish until early this morning because of a fiery crash involving Juan Pablo Montoya. NASCAR delayed the race for 2 hours after Montoya slammed into a Jet Dryer Truck during a caution.

Who Will Win Daytona 500?

My friends and I will all be watching NASCAR's biggest race today, The Daytona 500. The 500 kicks off the Sprint Cup season, which happened to be a very exciting one.   Last year's race was won by20-year-old rookie Trevor Bayne.  It shocked everyone! The hottest driver at the end of last season was Tony Stewart and he ended up winning the Sprint Cup! So who is it going to win at Daytona this year?

CSU Schedules Public Forums on the Proposed On-Campus Stadium

It's become a very controversial issue in a very short time.   Should CSU build a new on campus stadium and if so, where?  There are supporters of a new stadium and there supporters of keeping  Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium.  Colorado State has announced series of 10 public forums to collect  input regarding the proposed on-campus stadium. Little League Pitcher Saved by His Cap [VIDEO]

In a Friday game at the Little League World Series, Huntington Beach, California pitcher Braydon Salzman was almost smacked in the forehead with a line-drive ball. It would’ve surely been a scary event (just ask this minor leaguer) — were it not for the brim of his ball cap.

While the impact did knock Salzman to the ground, slow-motion replay shows his cap’s bill took the brunt of the impact, leaving a noticeable dent.
