When I was kid playing Frisbee golf at Jaycee Park in Mandan, North Dakota we never dreamed it would become a real sport. It was just a game to play to kill a day in the park. These days people are playing the game all over the country. In fact, CSU has just won a national championship in Frisbee golf. Way to bring it home Rams. Can a lawn dart championship be far behind?

Yesterday we all thought we had a new head basketball coach at CSU. We all thought it was former Oregon coach Ernie Kent.  We were all wrong! According to CBSSports.com: Southern Miss coach Larry Eustachy has agreed to become Colorado State's next men's basketball coach.

Bandimere Speedway officially opens for the 2012 season on Friday, April 13th. I remember my first visit to Bandimere. A friend invited my wife and me to sit in the VIP Corporate Tower during the Night of Fire & Thunder. It was amazing.  We walked down to the side of the track so we could feel the rumble in our chests and smell the high octane fuel.

Take me out to the ballgame. The Rockies home-opener is today. Are you ready for some Coors Field magic? There are so many great opening day memories. I can vividly remember Eric Young hitting a lead off home run as the first batter in the first home game for the Rockies at Mile High. I was there on opening day when Coors Field opened too. Opening day is always full of magic. Are you ready?

The Colorado Eagles were eliminated in the 1st round of the ECHL Playoffs last night by the Stockton Thunder.  The Thunder beat the Eagles  4-2 Friday night at the Budweiser Events Center, sweeping their best-of-five Western Conference Quarterfinals series three games to none.

The Colorado Eagles lost to the Las Vegas Wranglers 6-4  last night in Vegas, but it didn't matter.  The Eagles  wrapped up a playoff spot long ago.  Now we know who the Eagles will play in the 1st round of the ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Brian and I were at the Budweiser Events  Center last night as the Eagles defeated the Ontario Reign 3-1  in their season home finale. Colorado will wrap up their first regular season in the ECHL with a pair of games Friday & Saturday in Las Vegas. Tickets are on sale now for the Eagles 1st round playoff games, but we still don't know who they will play.

4-time MVP Peyton Manning is the Denver Broncos new quarterback and that has Tim Tebow fans in an uproar. I understand. I love Tim Tebow too. I got his jersey for Christmas. I was ecstatic when he led the Broncos over the Steelers in the playoffs too. However, when you get a chance to get a get a future Hall-of-Famer on your team, you do it.

Manning or Tebow, that is the question. I am one the biggest Tebow fans in the world. I love the energy he gave the Broncos last year. The playoff run was the most exciting season I have sat through in years. I am very excited about the upcoming season with Tebow but….What about a season with possibly the greatest quarterback to ever play the game? The only situation where I would not want Tebow running the Broncos next year is if we get a chance to have Peyton Manning.

March Madness is in full effect!  The CSU Ram's women's basketball team and the University of Colorado women were both selected to play in the Women's National Invitation Tournament.  They will play each other in the 1st round on Wednesday.  Meanwhile the CSU Rams men's basketball team will get a sendoff today as they travel to Kentucky for the Big Dance.

Not one, but 2 teams from Colorado are in the Big Dance! The CSU Rams were named to the field of 68 yesterday.  The CU Buffs got an automatic bid by winning the Pac-12 Tournament over the weekend.  Both teams will begin play in the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament on Thursday. Who else is in the tournament? Here is a bracket for you!

Two local teams advanced last night in their conference tournaments. One did not.  The CU Buffs men's basketball team advanced the Pac-12 Championship last night and the UNC Lady Bears advanced to Big Sky Championship.  The CSU  men were bounced from the Mountain West Tournament last night by top-seeded San Diego State.
