What an amazing day, literally. A motorcycle rider around Christmas couldn't have asked for a nicer day to do a toy run than Sunday, December 23rd. With temperatures near 55, hundreds showed up for the annual Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run breaking all previous records.

Tomorrow is the big day for hundreds of motorcycle riders from all over Northern Colorado as they participate in The Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run in Greeley. Many look forward all year to this ride and others just enjoy parking along the parade route somewhere just to watch the 300+ motorcycles, all with toys strapped to them, come rumbling through the streets of Greeley on the last Sunday before Christmas and have since 2006.

I don't have any money. None. Literally. I live paycheck to paycheck just like many of you so in 2006 I decided to do the first Sleigh Riders event as my way of using a microphone to get a lot of people together to help my community since my checkbook wasn't going to do it. On Tuesday, December 18th, 5 individuals came together who have done well over the year and decided to pay it forward.

The 7th annual Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run takes place this Sunday in Greeley and we are still looking for a few qualified volunteers to help with traffic. If you have volunteered to help with traffic you are requested at tonight's meeting in Windsor.

Every year the Larimer County Sheriff's Posse invites Todd Harding to help them deliver toys for Santa Cops. On Saturday morning they gathered at the Poudre Valley Mobile Home Park in Fort Collins to deliver toys to some very deserving kids.

The Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run will be having an informal meeting of sorts to go over the parade ride on the 23rd. We will be assisting the City of Greeley/GPOA on covering traffic control and helping to block intersections as hundreds of motorcycles pass by. If you can help and would like to, please try and attend this meeting.
