Fort Collins Woman & Her Dog Die in House Fire [PICTURES]

A 64 year-old woman and her dog died after a fire in her home on Monday night in Fort Collins. The victim was transported her to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland and then flown to University of Colorado Hospital in Denver, where she was pronounced dead.

Memorial Service For Poudre Fire Authority Fire Fighter to Be Held Friday

Poudre Fire Authority is still mourning the loss of one of our own after a tragic accident on Saturday. Firefighter Paul Gaucher was off-duty when he died of injuries resulting from a motorcycle crash in the Red Feather Lakes area. Memorial services are planned for tomorrow.

Shed & Trailer Destroyed in Fire West of Fort Collins

If you are wondering about that smoke west of Fort Collins over the weekend, about 1 ½ acres burned near Davis Ranch Road and Rist Canyon Road on Saturday afternoon.   The Larimer County Sheriff’s Department reported that a shed or barn and a trailer were destroyed in the blaze and nobody was injured. Thanks to the Poudre Fire Authority and Rist Canyon Fire, the blaze is now 100% contained.

A  wildfire burned over 300 acres near the Cobb Lake State Wildlife Area yesterday.    Kama first reported yesterday afternoon that the fire was out of control at Larimer County Roads 3 and 56 .  We now have pictured of the blaze thanks to the Poudre Fire Authority.

Cow Rescued From Icy Pond In Fort Collins [PHOTOS]

A cow named T-bone was rescued from an icy pond in Southeast Fort Collins last night.  When crews pulled the 14-year-old Hereford cow from the water, he was suffering from hypothermia and shock. The family pet had fallen down a 25-foot embankment into the water at Kechter Road and the I-25 Frontage Road. T-bone was stuck in the water for more than 5 hours.
