Poker Run

Make plans for Saturday August 24th and a great day of riding motorcycles and raising money through Zac's Legacy Foundation to help other kids battling the effects of cancer helping them to live a better life. Talk about a feel good day and ALL vehicles are welcome and encouraged.

Some friends of mine, Dan and Michelle Benavidez, (American Military Family) lost their son, Staff Sgt. Kenneth Mayne in 2008. Today, his memory lives on every year with the "Memory Mayne" poker run and it's going on this Saturday.

Coming up in September, another Honor Flight will again take to the skies loaded with Veterans from Northern Colorado to go pay their respects at their respective memorials in Washington D.C.. But, the trips are not free, and this Saturday, is an event I hope to see hundreds of motorcycles and people at. Just by showing up and donating a few bucks is a solid way to show them you're grateful.

Now in it's 13th year, Katie's Ride for the Cure is systematically doing their part in trying to find a cure and stamp out Cystic Fibrosis. Your help is needed though every year so please mark Sunday July 1st on your calendars.

Only in Colorado can you get all 4 seasons in one day and yesterday was one of those days for the Sleigh Riders 'Summer Series' Poker/Toy Run. Mother Nature however didn't stop hundreds of us from raising thousands of dollars.

The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association are comprised of soldiers who have faced the enemy in battle and lived to tell the tale. They are Veterans helping Veterans and you will have another great chance to show your military support by attending the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association / Iron Plains 3-4 poker run this Saturday.

To sum it up, it's just about my second favorite day of the year! This addition to the Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run was added soley as our yearly fundraiser. Every penny we collect from the "Summer Series" event goes directly into our college scholarship fund (Sleigh Rides) and the best part is your donation now is 100% tax deductible.

The Blue Knights Colorado IX of Greeley will be hosting a fundraiser and poker run this Saturday to honor those who have lost their lives in the line of duty and will donate all monies to the Colorado chapter of C.O.P.S.

The Sleigh Riders 'Summer Series' event pre registration will remain open through Monday June 24th. It truly is a fun day and all vehicles are welcomed and encouraged to attend and if you pre register, you get the day for about half price and who knows, you could win $1000 in hard cold cash and you only one click away.
