Brad Paisley was on "The View" yesterday with Alabama performing their hit "Old Alabama". Paisley talked about his new album, 'This Is Country Music", and then talked about relief efforts. He's donating royalties from his song "Old Alabama" to tornado relief efforts in Alabama.

Brad Paisley's "Old Alabama" has been climbing the charts for weeks now, but when you go to Youtube, still no video! That is about to change. Paisley who is a huge NASCAR fan, and good buddies with driver Jeff Gordon, decided to debuet the video a unique way. Paisley and a special guest will sit down and chat in an interview with the Speed Channel, between 3-4PM. During the interview, a portion of the ‘Old Alabama’ video will be shown.

I always felt Brad Paisley was one of the coolest artists in country music, I love his voice, guitar playing, sense of humor and now his heart. Brad has the new song “Old Alabama” featuring members of the legendary band Alabama and due to the horrific conditions in parts of Alabama that were devastated by the recent rash of tornadoes, Brad has announced that he will donate all artist royalties from downloads of “Old Alabama” to the Red Cross to help with relief in that area.

Growing up a country music fan, one of my favorite memories is listening to Alabama. Whether it was in the backseat of my parents car, or while helping my grandma clean the house it seems like most of these memories have an Alabama song playing in the background! Because of this, I think it is absolutely wonderful that Brad Paisley felt the same, and decided to honor these legends with a great new song. He performed it live at the Academy of Country Music Awards show last Sunday, and you can now hear it on the greatest radio station in the world, K99.
