It makes me proud to say that I am from the same community as a great guy like Shane Carwin. Some like what he does, others don't care for it, but there is no denying one thing... Shane is a great human. Yesterday it was announced that he will be one of the two coaches to participate in this years national TV program, "The Ultimate Fighter." Shane will also be at Shawn Patrick's Lures 4 Laney this Sunday taking pictures and signing autographs.

March 13th, 2011, a day Jason and Brenna Wadsworth knew was coming, but still dreaded since the previous July. Their three-year-old daughter, their sweet little “Laney Bug,” Delaney Wadsworth left her once healthy, but now cancer stricken, painful body and passed on. A story that touched my heart, and many others deeply as well. That feeling did not end when Laney passed, her story and memory will continue on forever. For years now we at K99 have been proud to call Kenny Cordova our friend. He has played just about every event we have put on in Northern Colorado at one time or another. Now I am extremely excited to have Kenny and the Olde Rock Band coming out to play us some music at my fundraiser coming up this Sunday, Shawn Patrick's Lures 4 Laney.

By now I am sure you have heard about the fundraiser I am putting on Sunday called Shawn Patrick's Lures 4 Laney. The goal f the event is to eliminate cancer in children. I personally can't stand the thought that kids are dying to this horrible disease and there is nothing we can do about it. So, lets raise some money and do some research to get rid of this awful thing. One of the ways we are raising money is through a silent auction with some fantastic items.

I always knew I wanted to be on the radio, and I also knew that when I made it I would use my voice to help others. Well, I have been on the radio for a few years now, so it's time to help people! I can't say that I have ever felt so passionate about something like I do about this event. By now you have probably heard me talk about my "little" fundraiser raising funds to defeat childhood cancer in memory of Delaney Wadsworth, the three-year-old from Windsor who lost her battle to brain cancer. Lures 4 Laney has taken off, and I am so humbled by everyone who has stepped up and is helping out. Ron Worley who owns Max Muscle of Loveland and Fort Collins is the latest to lend his hand to the cause!

I have seen and been apart of a lot of cool things since I have been on the radio, and many of those things have come as part of the fundraiser, Lures 4 Laney, I am holding on July 15th. John Elway, Taylor Swift, and Jason Aldean autographs are all awesome, but to me this is the neatest thing I have got to hold in my hand. I have a pair of tickets to the first annual "8 Seconds To Glory" cast reunion dinner on July 21st in Cheyenne.
