February 18, 2013 Happy Presidents Day everyone! Normally I would never associate the word "happy" on this Monday post but for the third straight week, in years, we have not lost one single soldier. 0 is a number I can totally get behind. On a different note, the Department of Defense has announced a new medal that has been created.

January 24, 2013 I wanted to share a story with you all that touched me greatly the last few days. Have you ever had tears stream down your face for someone you have never met? It's a humbling feeling and I'm not sure why, but I always have this feeling of "survivors remorse" when thinking about all those before me who have died to give me the liberty and freedom I have. I have done this for almost a year now making sure that I, and hopefully you, don't ever take them for granted. So I wanted to end the week on a positive note.
