January 12, 2011 Am I the only one who isn't all warm and fuzzy about the Ted Williams story. Ted is the former homeless guy with the great voice who has been all the over the media this last week. I am one who believes in second, third, fourth and more chances in life but I am not feeling this one.

This is the day, thanks to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, that we get to go to a classroom and honor an outstanding teacher. It is always so fun to see the look on the teachers face when we come in and the joy in kids eyes seeing their teacher get the goodies.

January 10, 2011 A Colorado Eagles hockey game turned into a gluttonous food-fest for me over the weekend. My wife and I went to the Eagles/Mudbugs game at the Budweiser Events Center on Saturday night with with some friends! The Eagles won the game 6-1, and everyone in the arena won free food from Wendy's! It happens every game when Colorado scored 6 goals or more! That wasn't the end of the free food!

Country Music Movie Brian Wants To See
January 7, 2011 Today is the opening of the movie Country Strong. I am looking forward to seeing this big time. I am always interested in movies about the music industry and particularly about country music. From 'Honky Tonk Man' with Clint Eastwood to Coal Miner's Daughter with Sissy Spacek to 'Pure Country' with George Strait and of course 'Walk the Line' and most recently 'Crazy Heart', Hollywood has tried to tell a country singer's story.

Girl Scout Cookies On Sale
January 7, 2011 Girl Scout cookies are now on sale. Sometimes there is nothing better than a Thin Mint straight out of the freezer, but the deliciousness of the Samoa has always been my favorite. Every year I buy from a couple different Girl Scouts, or as I call them "My Dealers". This year I am trying to cut back, but it is hard because they are so good and the money raised goes for such a good cause. Every year or two the Girl Scout introduce a new cookie.
