Over the last few weeks we have told you about and volunteered to help out at the Adventist Disaster Response distribution center in the Foothills Mall to help those affected by recent wildfires in Northern Colorado. Now the American Red Cross has also set up shop at the mall to provide a one-stop location for fire victims to find the assistance and resources they need to move forward.

It's hard to believe that anyone could be so heart-less, but there have been reports that people are already trying to scam victims of the High Park Fire out of their money.  The Larimer County Sheriff's Office has received reports of individuals seeking to charge High Park Fire victims fees of up to $700 to verify whether or not their structure(s) were damaged by the fire.

You won't be able to buy or shoot off fireworks in Loveland this 4th of July.  Loveland’s City Council passed a ban on both the sale and use of normally-permissible personal fireworks within the city. The ban will continue until the governor’s executive order banning fireworks is called off.

The High Park Fire, first reported June 9th fifteen miles west of Fort Collins, is being reported as 45% contained. As of the last update the fire had grown to 82,000+ acres, and new evacuations have been ordered for the area. Several roads remain closed, one fatality has been confirmed, and 191 homes have been destroyed. There are now more than 1900 firefighters on the ground battling the blaze.

The Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run have decided in light of the High Park Fire that the ride on June 30th will in fact move to the plan B route.  Due to information we have received we have decided that the original plan for the 30th would not be in the best interest of everyone involved but rest assured, the ride will still be mostly in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
