What an event. TheMake It Rain concert on July 26th at The Ranch was truly amazing. Figures are still coming in, but it looks like the concert and the online auction raised nearly $50,000 to help the victims of the High Park Fire and the volunteer fire departments the fought the fire.

Make it Rain - A Benefit for the Victims of the High Park Fire at the Ranch was a great success last night. 6 or 7 thousand of our closest friends showed up to pay tribute to the firefighters who battled the High Park Fire and to raise money for those families who were affected by the fire

A High Park Victims’s Story – In Her Own Words [PICTURES]
So many people were affected by the High Park Fire. Dr. Laurie Goodrich and her husband Jim are survivors of the fire. Thankfully, they didn't lose their home, but they did go through an incredible ordeal. Dr. Goodrich originally shared her story with her co-workers at CSU. My wife received that e-mail and shared it with me. It brought tears to my eyes. I asked Dr. Goodrich if I could share it with you and she said, "Yes".
Larimer County Commissioners Rescind Ban on Contained Fires
Larimer County Commissioners rescinded the ban on ‘Contained’ fires yesterday and continued the restrictions on Open Fires and the Use of Fireworks for the unincorporated areas of Larimer County. The restrictions mean that the public can now have fires in areas with permanent fire structures such as campgrounds. The restrictions were based on a recommendation from Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith.
Still Some Closures Associated With High Park Fire West of Fort Collins
The High Park Fire is 100% contained, but the fire is still smoldering in some areas and there are still some closures in effect. A closure order remains in effect on a portion of the Roosevelt National Forest west of Fort Collins.

Storms in the forecast for this afternoon have lead to the National Weather Service issuing a Flash Flood Warning until 4:45p today:
