I had told you yesterday how Tuesday was movie day at my house. I picked up 2 new movies, ”Morning Glory” and “Country Strong”. I decided to go for the double feature. I started with “Morning Glory”, starring Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton and Rachel McAdams. I loved this movie! I haven’t enjoyed a movie this much since “It’s Complicated”.

Country Strong DVD Out Today

Tuesday is new movie day in my house. New releases come out today and Country Strong is on top of my list. I never got a chance to see it in the theaters so I am very anxious to pick it up today. I have read great reviews on Tim McGraw’s performance. I had heard he based his appearance on Narvel Blackstock, who is Reba’s husband and I want to see how similar they are.

It had been some time since we have seen a major motion picture that was based on country music. Country Strong changed that when it hit theaters earlier this month. Nothing against Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw, but nothing will ever top Pure Country in my book

Today is the opening of the movie Country Strong. I am looking forward to seeing this big time. I am always interested in movies about the music industry and particularly about country music. From 'Honky Tonk Man' with Clint Eastwood to Coal Miner's Daughter with Sissy Spacek to 'Pure Country' with George Strait and of course 'Walk the Line' and most recently 'Crazy Heart', Hollywood has tried to tell a country singer's story.
