26 days until Spring. Yup! The countdown is on for most of us. You snow-bunnies will just have to face it; warm weather is on the way and it's time to start thinking about those gardens and outdoor projects.
I have been putting it off for way too long and could have made it simple by mailing it in ,like every year. But what happens? I forget and then have to make that dreaded trip down to "you know where."
Today is another milestone day for the Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run as we officially launch our brand new website. The board of directors are extremely happy to now offer one easy place to go for all the information you will need.
It's Friday and I love Friday. I love them for a lot of things but I love them especially so I can share and honor a local hero that is or has served our country. This week's hero is fresh on the front but already a seasoned warrior in my eyes. Let's meet Corporal Shane Walter who was nominated by his mother Linda and wife Courtney.
The Greeley Fire Department in conjunction with the City will be offering a FREE CPR training course for residents of Greeley and those who live in the Western Hills Fire Protection District. If you have a teen who babysits or just want to know what to do yourself, just in case, this is a great opportunity.
If you've spent some time driving around Greeley then you have inevitably been through the intersections along Hwy 85. They were borderline confusing and had more old broken glass and car wreckage in them than any other intersections I have seen. Well, now that's about to change but it might be a bit confusing at first.
Some of you know that every Monday I do a KIA Honor Post to pay respect to those who were KIA the previous week. I have done this for almost a year now making sure that I, and hopefully you, don't ever take them for granted. So I wanted to end the week on a positive note. This will be a weekly feature, every Friday, to honor those who made it home.
Ya, I haven't either. At least since 11 AM anyway. Truth be told, today was a perfect example of 'lack of communication," on my part. I listened to my instructions but they didn't compute until it was too late.
What an amazing day, literally. A motorcycle rider around Christmas couldn't have asked for a nicer day to do a toy run than Sunday, December 23rd. With temperatures near 55, hundreds showed up for the annual Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run breaking all previous records.
