Greeley was recently featured on a recent episode of South Park. It wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement of Greeley, but hey, the city got mentioned on national TV.
Summer break is officially over for School District 6 students. Some parents might have taken a sigh of relief this morning to know their kids will be learning and busy again, for some of the kids, well, their emotions were mixed.

Today marks an anniversary for me. The very first appearance we ever made as K99 was at the Colorado Farm Show about 22 years ago. Today I will return for the 21st time. I had to miss the farm show a few years ago when I had my heart attack, but that was the only one I have missed since the 1990's.

The city of Greeley’s celebration will begin today with a ceremonial march from the Greeley Chamber of Commerce to the Union Colony Civic Center. The four-block march will begin at 11 a.m. and will end with former U.S. gymnast Dominique Dawes delivering the keynote speech.

Greeley's first baby of 2011 arrived at 2:59 a.m. Saturday at North Colorado Medical Center. Soraya Viridiana Martinez weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces. She is the second child born to parents Viridiana and Oscar Martinez of Evans.
