I recently put together a list of the best burgers in Northern Colorado and JB's in Greeley topped that list. OK, so we have established they have a good burger, but it is more than just good burgers at JB's. As I went on my weekly dinner outing with my grandma last night to, you guessed it, JB's, I realized what the little drive in on 8th Ave. and 25th St. means to me!
With nearly 35% of the population being Latino in Greeley, the Hispanic influence on the town is great. From language to culture, a trip through Greeley will surely have a Hispanic vibe. One of the best things that comes from this influence is the great food that has come along. A
April 13, 2012 Highway 34 between Loveland and Greeley will be reduced to one lane in each direction This weekend (April 14-15) and again next weekend (April 21-22). The Union Pacific Railroad and the Colorado Department of Transportation are replacing the railroad crossing about a half-mile east of the Centerra Parkway intersection, the entrance to the Promenade shopping center.

Weld County Deputy Sam Brownlee was killed in the line of duty in November of 2010. Since then his family and friends and the Weld County Sheriff's Department have been planning a memorial to remember those who have fallen in the line of duty. A public groundbreaking ceremony for the Weld County Fallen Officer Memorial will be at 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday, March 1st) at Bittersweet Park, 35th Avenue and 16th Street, Greeley.
Greeley firefighters responded at 4:53 a.m. Wednesday to the Sushi One restaurant at 3820 10th St., directly across the courtyard from The Egg & I restaurant in the Market Square strip mall, on a report of heavy smoke. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading toward other businesses in the strip mall, but the overnight fire caused an estimated $250,000 in damage to Sushi One.

The Weld County Board of Commissioners has announced that Weld County Transportation will cease transportation service for those on Medicaid in the Greeley area due to declining ridership.
According to a press release, transportation services via Weld County Transportation will end operations effective Saturday, February 18, 2012. A contracted company, First Transit, will be providing rides to those in need.
January 20, 2012 The History of the 48th Annual Colorado Farm Show is a history of volunteers striving for agriculture excellence. It is also ironic that the Nations' 4th largest Ag show takes place in Weld County, the fourth largest agriculture producing county in the United States. The 3 day event features almost 350 exhibits and draws over 30,000 visitors from all over.
