Today is the National Hug Your Dog Day. Make sure your wrap your arms around that furry companion today. I had never owned a dog as a child. It wasn’t until I was married with children that I got my first dog, Sinatra. Sinatra was the greatest friend I have ever had. He has been gone for years now but I would give anything just to hold him one more time.

This year our family was discussing what to do for Easter Sunday dinner and the one thing we all agreed on is that we were all hammed out. Everybody has ham on Easter. Not us. We are rebels. We voted to make a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner Complete with Turkey, Stuffing, and a delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Cheesecake.

Heidi Newfield stopped by the K99 studios on Good Friday to talk with Brian and Todd.  She talked about her new single that hasn't even been released yet called:  "Why'd You Have To Be So Good" and told the Good Morning Guys the real story behind "Johnny & June".

It's become an annual Easter tradition at K99 -  Chubby Bunny! Every year I shove as many marshmallow Peeps as I can into my mouth, while still being able to say "Chubby Bunny".  This year we have video and audio of the event.

My name is Brian Gary and I am a reformed bully. When I look back on my life there are very few things I would change. I feel all the stupid things I have done and mistakes I have made have helped to shape me into what I am today. I feel it has all been for a purpose, to teach me what I know today...

Brian and I are NASCAR fans.  We are not hard core, but we follow the Chase for the Sprint Cup every year. One way we make the season more interesting is something we invented along with our buddy Tracy Walker. It's called the NASCAR Dinner! This year's dinner was held at PF Chang's China Bistro at Centerra.

I refuse to grow up and I continue to do stupid things. I think I have a defective gene or something. I have swam with huge bass inside the worlds largest traveling indoor aquarium. I have bungee jumped over a used car lot. I have lost a bet and had to get a Twinkie tattoo and now I have been inducted into the Wall of Flame at the Wing Shack in Greeley.

There are certain things in this world you don’t do. You don’t tug on Superman’s cape. You don’t spit into the wind. You don’t pull the mask off the Lone Ranger and you don’t mess with our national anthem. It happened again last night.

Whoever said a woman’s place is in the kitchen has never met the women in my life. First off there is Susan. Susan is much more handy in the barn than in the kitchen. Give her a pitch fork and she is in her element. Give her a spatula and she breaks into a cold sweat. In fact there are pictures of her with a line through it beside most kitchen appliances. Bless her heart.

I have heard it said that arguments and disagreements can make a relationship stronger. That must be why Todd and I have been together for nearly 25 years on the air. If he has taught me anything through the years it is that two people can have completely different opinions and that is okay. I used to think I always had to sway people to my way of thinking. I have learned that is not the way to go

30 years is a long time. Think about where you were 30 years ago. I was a 16 year old kid working at Hardees in Mandan, North Dakota. The woman who would become my wife was my supervisor. We used to sneak in the meat cooler and make out. I can never look at a meat cooler in a restaurant and not smile. I remember one night I accidently started the break room couch on fire. We have been watching the Eagles at a fish hatchery in Decorah, Iowa. Two little chicks have hatched in the past 2 days. Millions of people are watching around the world thanks to  The Raptor Resource Project.   Now there is a Blue Heron cam that is capturing people's attention at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in Ithaca, New York.  We have it for you too!
