My wife and I love to go out to eat. It is one of our favorite things to do. The other night we decided to finally go and try The Melting Pot in Fort Collins. I have always resisted going there because I am very impatient and didn't think I would be able to sit without fussing waiting for fondue. I was so wrong.

K99 Good Morning Guy Todd Harding is hosting the 2011 Miss Colorado High School America Pageant on Saturday (January 15th) @ 7 p.m. at the Loveland High School Auditorium (920 W. 29th St.)

Brian and Todd did a story about a would-be super hero "Phoenix Jones, the Guardian of Seattle,"  that got hit in the face and threatened with a gun over the weekend when he tried to break up a downtown fight.  Brian thought he sounded more like Pinata Man!  Watch video of the local news coverage from Komo TV :

Just yesterday Brian blogged about homeless DJ Ted Williams and how he "wasn't feeling" the story and how he wasn't caught up in the hype like everyone else. Turns out, Brian was right!

Estes Park is just about an hour or so away for most of us! So why don't we visit more?  It is one of the most beautiful spots on earth, but my wife and I (Todd Harding) only go when when have visitors from out of town!

Am I the only one who isn't all warm and fuzzy about the Ted Williams story. Ted is the former homeless guy with the great voice who has been all the over the media this last week. I am one who believes in second, third, fourth and more chances in life but I am not feeling this one.

Today is one of my favorite days, it is Teacher Tuesday on K99. This is the day, thanks to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, that we get to go to a classroom and honor an outstanding teacher. It is always so fun to see the look on the teachers face when we come in and the joy in kids eyes seeing their teacher get the goodies.

John Hickenlooper will be sworn in today as Colorado's 42nd Governor. Brian, Todd, and Susan had a chance to meet the new Governor at the Greeley Stampede parade last year. A Colorado Eagles hockey game turned into a gluttonous food-fest for me over the weekend. My wife and I went to the Eagles/Mudbugs game at the Budweiser Events Center on Saturday night with with some friends! The Eagles won the game 6-1, and everyone in the arena won free food from Wendy's! It happens every game when Colorado scored 6 goals or more! That wasn't the end of the free food!

Today is the opening of the movie Country Strong. I am looking forward to seeing this big time. I am always interested in movies about the music industry and particularly about country music.
