UNC Comes Up Short Against Portland State
The Northern Colorado Bears (0-8, 0-11) ended the season this afternoon with a loss at home to the Portland State Vikings (6-3, 5-2) by a score of 23-17. It appeared the Bears had tied the game with just six seconds left in the game, but the UNC touchdown was called back on a cut block penalty.
UNC Comes Up Short Against North Dakota 27-25
North Dakota field goal kicker Zeb Miller made a career-best 54-yard field goal with 1:52 remaining to lift the visiting Fighting Sioux (5-3) over the Bears (0-9) yesterday afternoon at Nottingham Field. Northern Colorado returns to Big Sky Conference play next Saturday as they travel to Flagstaff for a match-up with Northern Arizona (2-4).
CSU Falls At UNLV For 4th Straight Loss
The CSU Rams (3-5, 1-2) lost their fourth game in a row yesterday, stumbling at UNLV (2-5, 1-1) 38-35. Special teams were a sore spot for the Rams, giving up 269 yards in returns, including one for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. CSU has a bye this week before hosting San Diego State on November 12th.
CSU Rams At UTEP Tonight
The CSU Rams (3-3) travel to El Paso, Texas to face UTEP (3-3) tonight at 6:00pm MT. The Rams are coming off a one-sided loss to Boise State, and are looking for a strong rebound. The game is the first matchup between these former WAC rivals since 1998. Colorado State leads the series 24-9-0.

The highest ranked team to ever visit CSU will make its appearance this afternoon when fifth-ranked Boise State (5-0, 0-0) kicks off against the Rams (3-2, 1-0) at 4pm in Hughes Stadium. CSU is a 32-point underdog, but has upset on its mind. Fans are encouraged to wear white to what is expected to be the best attended home game of the season.
Bears Face Defending National Champs EWU Today
The UNC Bears (0-6, 0-4) face the defending national champion Eastern Washington Eagles (2-4, 2-2) on the bright red turf at 5pm tonight in Cheney, Washington. The Bears are 0-5 against EWU in Big Sky Conference matchups, and 1-7 against the Eagles all-time. UNC is also searching for its first ever win in Cheney (0-3).

The wind and driving rain provided a gloomy backdrop to what eventually became a 14-0 loss this afternoon by the UNC Bears (0-6, 0-4) to Big Sky Conference opponent Sacramento State (3-3, 2-2). The Bears trailed the Hornets 7-0 at the half and couldn't climb on top in the second. Next up for UNC, 10/15 at Eastern Washington.
