It’s Tournament Time – CSU & CU Men Advance

The CU Buffs and CSU Rams are both one step closer to the Big Dance.  Both men's basketball teams  won last night in their conference tournaments.  Colorado State will play in the Semi-Final of the Mountain West Tournament tonight the University of Colorado will  play in the Semi-Finals of the Pac-12 Tournament tonight!

It's tournament time for college basketball. The Mountain West, Big Sky, and Pac 12 tournaments are all underway.  The  CU men and women both advanced yesterday.  The CSU women were eliminated from the Mountain West Tournament, and the CSU men play today!

It's tournament time for college basketball. The Mountain West, Big Sky, and Pac 12 tournaments are all being held this week. The last of 10 public forums to discus a proposed on-campus stadium at  Colorado State  University are being held tonight and tomorrow night in Fort Collins.   Registration is required. Walk-ups will be seated only if space is available.

CSU Schedules Public Forums on the Proposed On-Campus Stadium

It's become a very controversial issue in a very short time.   Should CSU build a new on campus stadium and if so, where?  There are supporters of a new stadium and there supporters of keeping  Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium.  Colorado State has announced series of 10 public forums to collect  input regarding the proposed on-campus stadium. CSU Begins Process to Hire Design Team for Proposed New Football Stadium

CSU has started the process of hiring architects and engineers to begin the process for building a new on-campus football stadium. Advertisements indicate Colorado State University plans to hire for a “potential” project and goes on to say it’s for plans to build a 40,000 to 50,000-seat stadium in Fort Collins.

CSU’s Athletic Director, Jack Graham would like to see a  $100 million-$200 million stadium built with private funds by the start of the 2014 season, according to the Coloradoan

Is CSU Basketball This Years UNC?

There was more than just madness in Northern Colorado last March when the Northern Colorado Bears made it into the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history, proving this region does love their college basketball. Unfortunately though, after losing key players and quite a few games so far this season, it doesn't look like UNC will return to the dance. Look just to the north though, and you'll find a Colorado State team that look like they may bring some excitement to the area this year.

CSU Wants Your Opinion On New Stadium [POLL]

CSU wants your opinion on building a new on-campus stadium. The University has put a virtual suggestion box on their website asking for input.  New Athletic Director Jack Graham has already said that a new stadium will be built.  He would like to see it open by September of 2014.

CSU Oval Needs Your Help [PHOTOS]

The CSU Oval needs your help. The massive snowstorm we had in October did some serious tree damage. The branches were cleaned up and the tree's were trimmed after they were disfigured by the storm, but now a fund has been established to help ensure the Oval will be preserved for the future. It's called the CSU Oval Preservation Fund.

CSU Expected To Name New Football Coach Today

Colorado State University has scheduled a press conference today to reveal their new head football coach. The Tuscaloosa (Ala.) News is reporting that University of Alabama offensive coordinator Jim McElwain is the Rams' choice to replace Steve Fairchild.

The 2011 CSU Homecoming Parade is this afternoon in downtown Fort Collins. The parade begins at 4:30 p.m. on the corner of Oak Street and Howes Street and travels south on Howes through the historical Oval and the heart of campus.   Watch for Good Morning Guy Todd Harding passing out candy to the crowd.  The 2011 Homecoming Parade Grand Marshal is Colorado State University System Chancellor Joe Blake.
