I have had the honor of winning a lot of awards and giving a lot of speeches in my career but nothing has come close to the honor I had on Sunday. I was the keynote speaker for the memorial service at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley and it was such a thrill. This was, without a doubt, the easiest speech I have ever given. To get to speak of my love for my country and the men and women who defend it was an easy task for me.

Brian Gary and I have been the Good Morning Guys together for the past 24 years, but I have never been more proud to be Brian's partner on the radio, than I was yesterday.  Brian was the keynote speaker at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Memorial Day Celebration on Sunday. I just went to get some pictures and video of the event, but I got much more than that.

It is the theme to every romantic comedy, buddy movie or story about a couple...a misunderstanding pulls them apart for a portion of the movie. You can see it coming every time. The couple meet and have a great time together building a relationship and then some kind of chaos happens and they split or fight and then get back together at the end. The key component in the temporary breakup is always a lack of communication.

Big & Rich are back and I couldn't be happier. I am a huge fan of John and Kenny and they have just released a killer new song. When they hit the scene with their debut CD "Horse of a Different Color" I was blown away by their sound. Since then I have been waiting for them to recapture that magic and they have done it with the new song "That's Why I Pray".

20 years ago today I quit watching late night talk shows. It on this date back in 92 that Johnny Carson signed off as the host of The Tonight Show. Johnny Carson is the reason I got into this business. I grew up watching this man and wanted to be him.

I got a phone call from my dad on Saturday saying that my Gramma Lola was taken the hospital and was more than likely not going to make it through the night. Gramma had fallen a few days ago and was so bruised and beat up and her body was losing the fight as you can see from the photo.
