30 years is a long time. Think about where you were 30 years ago. I was a 16 year old kid working at Hardees in Mandan, North Dakota. The woman who would become my wife was my supervisor. We used to sneak in the meat cooler and make out. I can never look at a meat cooler in a restaurant and not smile. I remember one night I accidently started the break room couch on fire. Mark, my boss at the time

Trying to decide whether to let you heart or your brain talk can be a battle. I have no problem speaking from the heart. I trust my heart and in many situations can just let it take over and run the show. If I am speaking at a fundraiser or in a school or any setting of public speaking I let my heart talk. If I am writing an email or letter, I need my brain.

The 14th Annual 28 Hours of Hope was a huge success.  Brian and I stayed on the air for 28 Hours in a row to give the K99 listeners a chance to shine...and shine they did!  Over $73, was raised for 3 local organizations that help fight child abuse right here in Northern Colorado:  A Kid's Place in Greeley, Namaqua Center in Loveland, and the Larimer County Child Advocacy Center in Loveland! Last week we had, in my mind, the most successful 28 Hours of Hope in its 14 year history. We raised nearly $75,000 to help abused children and Northern Colorado. More important than the money we raised was the awareness we raised. The more it is talked about, the more we shift the power out of the hand of the abuser. The more light we shine on it, the less dark it becomes. I cannot thank you enou

I am a people pleaser. I like to make people happy and if they are mad at me or upset with me, I really struggle. I believe the reason I let so few people into my life to really know me is because I fear the more people I let in, the more people I have a chance to let down. If someone seems upset with me, I attack it right away. I don’t wait to see what works out. I call them right away or go see

I am an odd dude and it has taken me many years to figure out how to live with me and not go crazy. I am a complex, difficult and quirky man. I have to lie to myself every morning to get myself out of bed. I tell myself that I will rest later and get a nap if I get up now and go to work without complaining...

Life is a rocky road. I believe the ride is rough because of all the stones we encounter in life. Life is full of stones. We start by being brought into this world with a birthstone. A colored jewel to show the month we were born in and to celebrate the beginning of a new life. As the birthstone ages a bit we begin playing with stones and start skipping stones. Who hasn’t enjoyed being a child and

Home grown Colorado country. That’s what this band is all about.  Kory Brunson Band is Colorado born and based and proud of it. I have had the pleasure of working with Kory and the band at many functions through the last few years and am very impressed. These guys blend a great collection of original material and killer cover tunes. I have been waiting for a young aggressive country band to make i
