Swat Team Called on 9/11 — Distressed Fort Collins Man
As we remember the events of today, we pause with both fear and calm. For some, life seems too heavy, a distressed Fort Collins man received the help of the SWAT team.
Early Thursday morning the Larimer County Sheriff's Office got word that there was a suspicious vehicle in unincorporated Larimer County. The vehicle was parked on the 300 block of Blue Ridge Way when deputies arrived on the scene. They said it looked like the vehicle was stuck and that they recognized the vehicle as belonging to a distressed man who had previously threatened to hurt himself.
The deputies couldn't see inside the vehicle due to heavily tinted windows and were not able to determine if the situation was safe. According to a press release, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office SWAT team was called and responded to the scene. They were able to convince the man to get out of his vehicle, he is now in custody.
No one was injured in the incident.
