This is news that many people are going to be happy to hear, that is unless you're a vegetarian. According to New Rising media, a new study shows that eating bacon, can lead to a longer life. The cited study, by Energy Metabolism Professor, Michael Ristow, discovered that high levels of Vitamin B3, also known as niacin, lead to longer lives in test subjects. In this case, the test subject were roundworms, and they lived one-tenth longer than the worms that were withheld the vitamin.

Along with bacon, other niacin rich foods include paprika, peanuts and sun-dried tomatoes. The main reason that this discovery is interesting, is that in the past, the assumption has been that niacin actually results in faster aging. According to Ristow's findings, the niacin actually tricks the body into thinking that it has been working out.
