On Sunday afternoon (September, 6), a small plane crashed in the Colorado Mountains, as it was traveling from Barstow, California to Amarillo, Texas. According to the Coloradoan, the National Transportation Safety Board stated that there were no survivors of the crash, that contained 5 travelers, flying in the twin-engine Cessna 310. The plane went down at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, north of Silverton in the San Juan Mountains. The cause for the crash is not yet known, and the names and towns of those who lost their lives has not been released at this time.
