Stove Prairie Elementary School is hosting their Winter Festival this Saturday, December 7. If you have never seen the school in person, here's your chance to see some history.

If you ride a motorcycle, then you most likely know exactly where Stove Prairie Elementary School is right there on Stove Prairie road at the top of Rist Canyon. It's one of the most beautiful schools anywhere and also the oldest school still in operation here in Colorado, opening in 1896 as a one-room schoolhouse.

This Saturday is a great chance to actually see the school up close and personal during their Winter Festival which is an annual fundraiser for them which has now been going on for 38 years.
