Sticks and Stones and Birthday Candles for Tracy Lawrence Today [VIDEO]

I wonder if they had any idea that the little baby boy born on this day in Atlanta, Texas would become a huge country star. I am guessing he may have even had a guitar in his hand as he entered the world, which would have made a very painful birth to say the least. Tracy Lawrence was that baby boy who entered the world 49 years ago today.

Tracy Lawrence has had one heck of a ride in this business. It all had a rough start back in 1991 shortly after Tracy signed a deal with Atlantic Records, he was shot four times while walking a friend to their door. Thank the Lord Tracy survived that awful attack and went on to have his debut single ‘Sticks and Stones’ go all the way to number one. He followed that with a string of hits that continues to this day.

Happy birthday to one of best, true country singers we have had over the past couple of decades. Tracy hits the big 4-9 today and I know you join me in wishing him a festive day. Here are a few of my favorites from Tracy to celebrate his big day.
