Some people wait eagerly for the release of Starbucks annual Christmas design on their coffee cups.

This year, some have been less than impressed. Others think that the chain coffee store is deliberately designing it in a more generic way so as not to seem too specific to Christmas.

I'm not going to add fuel to the ridiculous fire that is starting about the 'War on Christmas' and people's outrage that a coffeeshop is taking the Christ out of Christmas. I mean, it's not like the generic red cups are that far removed from what they've done in the past, like spruce trees or stars. They certainly never went 100% religious on their cups before, have they? It's not like they went  blank after having a picture of the nativity on the cup last year.

Yeah, this is muckraking. However, it is very successful muckraking. Look at the amount of views this video has! This guy can take a non-religious entity, criticize it for not being religious enough, and get half a million views. That's some solid distraction.

Starbucks REMOVED CHRISTMAS from their cups because they hate Jesus ... SO I PRANKED THEM ... and they HATE IT!!!! #shareUse #MERRYCHRISTMASSTARBUCKSFollow --> Joshua Feuerstein

The hashtag he mentioned is getting some action. Most of it is people calling him an idiot, but once again, they are paying attention.

outrage over this. There isn't. This publicity prone pastor seems to be one of the only ones who is really outraged. And I think he's just doing it for attention. So do most of the people who used the
hashtag on Twitter (below). It's working. But the media's classification of this as outrage is a reach.
