Tuxedo waiter, black tie, white table cloth and red wine. We've been planning this night, looking forward to it for some time. Sounds like the start of a great country song doesn't it? Those are the opening lyrics to Chris Young's number one hit "Gettin' You Home". Chris is one of favorite new male vocalists. I love the sound of a pure country voice and boy does Chris have that. He has that smooth effortless vocal that you know is just a God given gift. He fits right in with today's sound yet has that classic throwback appeal.

Chris will be at the Greeley Stampede on July 1st, part of the Taste Of Country Concert series. Tickets are on sale now. Chris will hopefully be holding on to the Grammy Award that he should win on February 13th on CBS. Chris is up against Keith Urban, Toby Keith, David Nail and Jamey Johnson in the male country vocal catagory. There is no doubt in my mind that "Gettin' You Home" was by far the most requested song we had last year of those nominated. The Grammys have a history of being clueless when it comes to country but I hope they get this one right this year. Go Chris, go get that Grammy, and be sure YOU get your tickets to see him this summer in Greeley.

Here are the major country categories for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. To see the complete list go to Grammy.com!
