One of the first things you should probably know about me is that I am from South Carolina, Myrtle Beach to be more exact. However, I am now very proud to call Colorado home! There is good and bad about both places. As far as Colorado goes, I love the lifestyle here. Watching all these people running and walking has inspired me to lose weight as well. The scenery is breathtaking and the people are second to none. I also love the fact Colorado takes parks and recreation seriously. We have 4 playgrounds within walking distance my kids can enjoy and living on the west side of Loveland, we are at the doorstep of Rocky Mountain National Park and Big Thompson Canyon. The ONLY thing I would change, is the snow.
Superman has Lex Luthor. The Smurfs have Gargamel. Dora has Swiper. My archnemesis is snow! When my family and I moved here 4 years ago, I saw more snow in the weekend we moved here than I ever saw in my life in South Carolina. I thought it would be cool to go out into the backyard and stand in these fluffy white bits falling from heaven. To get to the backyard, I had to cross our deck and make my way down 3 stairs. How hard could that be? As I made my way down the stairs, I didn't see the ice hidden under the snow. The next thing I knew was I saw my shoelaces in front of my face as my feet had slipped out from under me so fast I didn't even feel them. For a moment in time I felt like Wylie Coyote suspended in air above a canyon. As I went to grab my "Uh Oh" sign like Wylie does, I came crashing down on the stairs. The pain was unbearable and had me crying like my wife at the end of The Notebook. If real men aren't afraid to cry, I was Paul Bunyan. The end result was a bruise about 3 inches wide and 8 inches long across my back. I called it my "Welcome to Colorado temporary tattoo". So as I love my new home in Colorado, please understand if I think snow is a better idea on a postcard than the ground. So in celebration of the oncoming spring and summer seasons, I compiled my top 5 list of Caribbean themed country songs. In other words, a top 5 list of Kenny Chesney songs AFTER he got hit in the head by a coconut.

#5. Pirate Flag

#4. Beer in Mexico

#3. Everybody Wants to go to Heaven

#2. When the Sun Goes Down

And my #1 Kenny Chesney beach song is...No Shoes No Shirt No Problems
