With the passing of amendment 64 and the legalization of recreational marijuana, a lot of questions were raised about people that had been convicted of possessing small amounts of marijuana.Well, the Colorado Court of Appeals now says some of those convictions can be overturned.

According to the Denver Channel,

The Colorado Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that people whose cases were under appeal when Amendment 64 took effect in December 2012 are eligible to have their convictions reversed.

This ruling could have a huge effect and hundreds of people in the state.

I'm assuming that by the verbage they're using here it is not a get out of jail free card for anyone in jail on weed charges, but anyone who was appealing a case in December could be getting some very favorable news.
