Some Idiot Dumped A Couch And A Hot Tub On The Pawnee National Grassland

During the month of December, large items were dumped on the Pawnee National Grassland. First a large hot tub was left on the west side of the Pawnee and then around Christmas a couch was dumped in the same location.

Dumping trash from private property on to federal land is a $500 fine and could include a court appearance and additional expenses to cover the cost of removing the trash.

The U.S. Forest Service asks the public to help curb this illegal activity.  If you see suspicious activity happening on the Pawnee National Grassland or have information regarding these recent crimes, please contact Law Enforcement Officer Terry Baxter at 970-295-6719.
