Snow on the Way?
Much needed and wanted snow could be on the way for Northern Colorado, and that includes the mountains and the Front Range. After one of the hottest years on record for many areas, a dry and mild fall has kept the Fern Lake Fire burning and seen temperatures go to almost the 70′s in December.
Fort Collins will see a mild start to the weekend, with Friday’s highs expected to crack 50. The sun of Friday gives way to clouds and by Saturday, we could see some snow. Accumulation is expected to be insignificant. Temperatures during the day will be in the 20′s and 30′s, and overnights it will be in the teens.
The start to next week will bring clouds, cooler daytime temperatures and cold nights in the teens.
The mountain areas are expecting snow to start tonight with small amounts of snow expected in Summit, Eagle, Routt and Grand Counties.
