Crews are working to open Trail Ridge Road for the summer tourism season in Rocky Mountain National Park.  As of last week, there was 16 feet of snow at Upper Hidden Valley; 17.5 feet at Rainbow Curve and 18.5 feet just west of Rock Cut. Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous paved road in the United States. The road climbs to an elevation of 12,183 feet on the route from Estes Park and Grand Lake. It is usually open by Memorial Day.
