I have to take a moment and thank everyone who came out last Saturday night in Greeley for the "Lights the Nights" parade.  It's more than heartwarming, literally, to see so many of you support what I think is one of the best things that you and I have ever done as a whole because let's face it, without YOU, there is no Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run.

We really couldn't have asked for nicer weather and then throw in a ton of free food and what could be better.  Well, toss in a bunch of motorcycles all dressed up with lights, sleigh bells ringing and jovial moods and it got even better.  We had 56 bikes and over 70 people attending.

It's also safe to say the Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run was again the largest entry in the parade stretching well over a block and easily one of the crowd favorites amongst the children; young and old.  It's why the Sleigh Riders do what they do, to put smiles on the faces of hundreds of kids every single year by collecting thousands of toys and making lives just a little bit better. In fact, we make sure at least 500 kids have a Christmas every year.

Let's make it a 1000 kids!

You can't buy stuff like that.  Sleigh Riders do what they do because it's the right thing to do and everyone has a blast doing it.

So a ton of thanks to all you Sleigh Riders who make this all happen.  You should be very proud and feel like a million bucks because YOU are the ones who make this all possible.  The Sleigh Riders (board of directors) would also like to thank Don and Linda Evig (Mr. and Mrs. Claus) for again going way above and beyond the call of duty and a special thanks to Greeley PD officer, Doug Medhurst, who suited up and led our entry as he does every year on the Christmas toy run.

Speaking of, the 2012 Christmas Toy Run will be held on Sunday December 23rd and will be leaving this year from the John Elways Dealers off 35th Ave in Greeley. (2501 35th Ave - Staging starts no earlier than 10 AM and the parade ride leaves at Noon.)

Check out the official FB page for more details and give us a like if you haven't already.  Our goal is to reach a 1000 likes by years end. The Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run is a 501c3 and your donations, large or small, are tax deductible.
