Six Military Heroes Have Given Their All – Week 46 Honor Post

Staff Sgt. Richard L. Vazquez - Age 28 from Seguin, Texas. Killed In Action 13 November in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his unit was attacked with an improvised explosive device while on dismounted patrol in Panjwai, Afghanistan.  Staff Sgt. Richard L. Vazquez was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Eglin Air Force Base, FL.

Staff Sgt. Mathew R. Marsh - Age 28 from Long Beach, CA.  Marsh died 13 November around 1120 hours during a firing range maintenance operation at Camp Pendleton. The accident is under investigation.

Gunnery Sgt. Gregory J. Mullins - Age 31 from Bayou L’Ourse, LA,   Mullins died 13 November around 1120 hours during a firing range maintenance operation at Camp Pendleton.  The accident is under investigation.

Sgt. Miguel Ortiz - Age 27 from Vista CA.  Ortiz died 13 November around 1120 hours during a firing range maintenance operation at Camp Pendleton.  The accident is under investigation. 

Staff Sgt. Eric W. Summers - Age 32 from Poplar Bluff, MO. Summers died 13 November around 1120 hours during a firing range maintenance operation at Camp Pendleton.  The accident is under investigation.

Staff Sgt. Alex A. Viola - Age 29 from Keller, Texas. Killed In Action 17 November in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his unit was attacked with an improvised explosive device while on dismounted patrol. Staff Sgt. Alex A. Viola was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Eglin Air Force Base, FL.
