Signs of Spring in Susan’s Laundry Room

Yesterday was a gorgeous day and I was so happy to be outside to enjoy it. In the hush of the barn, the horses and I heard our first Meadowlark. We all stopped in our tracks just to listen to it’s sweetness. In the absence of show, the dull brown earth tones are starting to really be a drag, but the promise of spring is alive and well everywhere, including my laundry room. In an effort to de-clutter the area, I tossed out magazines from 2011, reorganized the piles of stuff, and found packets of flower seeds cleverly hidden under the sink. Is that a ‘sign’ or what? Oh, and here’s how the room looked after I sorta cleaned it.

The Greeley Stampede is coming up, and you know what that means. Corndogs, cowboy hats, concerts, and cars. One of the best parts of the 10-day festival is the demolition derby. Hundreds (yes, hundreds) of drivers will partake in the destructive chaos. This year's demolition derby will take place on July 7th at 2:00 PM, and tickets cost $20-25.
