All of that lathering and lubricating is destroying your health. If you shower more than once a week or multiple times a day, beware.

MISTAKES YOU'RE MAKING WHEN SHOWERING

  • Hot showers are NOT therapeutic, they are harmful by removing too many natural oils your skin produces and the hot water brings your blood to the skin surface that can cause inflammation
  • Showering too long, more than 10 minutes will strip your skin of moisture
  • Soaping up your whole body, you should really only be sudsing your smelly parts
  • Waiting too long to moisture after a shower is basically pointless, you should moisture within the first three minutes of leaving the shower and only pat yourself dry
  • When is the last time you replaced your puff or loofah? They grow bacteria and mold! They should be replaced every month
  • If you are washing your hair everyday you are washing it too much, someone with thin hair should only wash their hair twice a week. If your hair is thick and course, you can reduce your hair washing to once a week. If you feel you need a refresher during the week apply conditioner and rinse thoroughly
