As the world gears up for December when Shania Twain will begin her residency in Las Vegas with her Shania: Still the One series, fans have been busting out their own vocal chops, trying to win their way into the performance.

More than 100 auditions from Caesars Entertainment’s Total Rewards custom-designed singing booth at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville this past June were reviewed, as were video entries submitted through the Caesars Palace Facebook page. A panel of judges, made up of representatives from Caesars Entertainment, as well as Twain’s management team, chose 21-year-old Madelyn Victoria Vallejo as the winner.

Vallejo’s prize package includes a three-night stay at Caesars Palace where Twain’s residency will be held, as well as a $200 dining credit and two tickets to Shania: Still the One, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform on her own at the Piano Bar at Harrah’s Las Vegas in Dec. 2012.

“I have been a fan of Shania since I was about five years old, and would sing her song ‘Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under’ all the time,” says Vallejo, who chose to sing Twain’s ‘You’re Still the One’ in her audition video. “I would also watch her music videos and try to imitate the way she would perform. I love her!”

Runner ups in the contest were also given hotel accommodations, dining cards and tickets to Twain’s performance.

Twain will kick off her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace beginning on Dec. 1, 2012. Tickets range from $55 to $250, plus applicable fees and may be purchased by calling 1-800-745-3000, online at www.thecolosseum.com, through Ticketmaster (keyword “Shania Twain”) or in person at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace Box Office.
