Killed 15 January in the Parwan Province, Afghanistan, from wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire during combat operations. Sgt. Daniel T. Lee was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, N.C.

Spc. Andrew H. Sipple - Age 22 from Cary, North Carolina. Died 17 January in Kandahar City, Afghanistan, from a non-combat related incident that is currently under investigation. Spc. Andrew H. Sipple was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
