Severe Weather Sends Everyone Home Early From Down and Derby Party

The 2016 Down & Derby Party to benefit NOCO Unify had to be cancelled on Saturday due extremely severe weather. Heavy rain and wind and severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings left organizers with no choice. I had hoped to pictures of all of the beautiful hats at the event, instead I ended up up with a few shots of the party goers fleeing the Island at Pelican Lakes in Windsor.

The event is a “rain or shine” event and we made every attempt to run the event and did conduct the event for a period of time until it was deemed unsafe for patrons. We appreciate your support of NOCO Unify and the children of Northern Colorado. The outreach and support of our decision to cancel during the event was been tremendous. Thank you NOCO!
