See Video of Surfer Mick Fanning Escape Shark Attack [VIDEO]

I've seen some amazing things in athletic competition but never anything like this. Mick Fanning was in a surfing competition in South Africa. He was climbing on his board when a shark attacked him. He actually punched the shark to fend it off. He was unhurt but I am sure the water around the area got a little polluted.

Can you imagine how much more exciting golf or swimming events would be if they had sharks to contend with as well? I think viewership would go through the roof. Check out the breathtaking video here.
