See the First Baseball Card of My Nephew Jay – Brian’s Blog

I am so proud of my nephew Jay Flaa. Jay is a young stud baseball player who was drafted in the 6th round by the Baltimore Orioles this year. He has been assigned to their short season single A ball team in Aberdeen Maryland. Jay has done fantastic since he arrived there. He already has four saves this year and has appeared in seven games. He is a relief pitcher who throws flames. I can't wait to go watch him pitch one day soon. I will not be the least bit surprised when he is throwing in the big leagues in a few years.

Every kid who loves baseball dreams of the day they are on a baseball card. It is like a singer who gets to release their album and then see it in the stores. I can imagine that being on a baseball card is the same kind of feeling. My brother Mike, Jay's dad, sent me a picture of Jay's first baseball card yesterday. Mike is the proud owner of card number one. Way to go, Jay. I am so proud of you and hope to be collecting your card for years to come.
