I ran into Michelle Kempema over the weekend from the Colorado Model Railroad at the Greeley Freight Station Museum. She was very excited to tell me about the new Denver Broncos train at the museum.

The train was donated by a volunteer last year and was made by the Danbury Mint. It came in a display case and was never meant to actually run on a layout but rather to be displayed on a shelf. The museum volunteers took the train and modified it, added computer chips, changed the wheels and couplers and now its zooming around the 5,500 square foot layout.

Next weekend the museum will be running the train on Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm at 680 10th Street in Greeley. All K99 listeners wearing Bronco gear or decoration will receive $1 off admissions on those days.
