Scotty McCreery announced on his Facebook page that he's making his return to the 'American Idol' stage this week. The 20-year-old will perform on the singing competition on May 15.

The 'Idol' alum will take the stage to perform his newest single 'Feelin' It' during the show. It's an important night, especially for the contestants as the top two will be announced. Being in the top two is something McCreery knows all about. He landed there alongside Lauren Alaina in 2011 but ultimately beat her out to be the youngest 'Idol' winner ever. Now he's returning and gets to show the new judges what a winner looks like.

The competition is getting tough as they just said goodbye to the very talented Jessica Meuse, setting up the top three and the hometown celebrations. Only Caleb Johnson, Jena Irene and Alex Preston remain.

Before McCreery's appearance, the Fox show will air a two-hour special on May 14. McCreery will perform during the top two episode on May 15 at 9pm ET.
