The mission of the Salute to American Veterans Rally can be summed up in five simple but meaningful words:

DUTY - HONOR - CAMARADERIE - RESPECT - FREEDOM

When it comes to rallies and our Military this is 2nd to none one of the best rallies around with something to do for everyone.  In fact, there is so much going on I wouldn't even know where to start so please check their schedule of events for a complete listing.

One of the coolest events is the POW-MIA Recognition Ride into Cripple Creek... 1000s of bikes start from the hish school in Woodland Park and travel the distance to Cripple Creek rolling straight down Main Street to the cheers of 1000s of patriotic Americans lining the streets... it is an awesome experience.

Vietnam Memorial Travelling Wall, POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony, Flyovers, poker runs, guest speakers and parade just to name a few and all this taking place in one of the most scenic places in Colorado.

The 'Travelling Vietnam Memorial Wall' will be at Cripple Creek High School this year right on the athletic field.  The 480 feet long 80% sized replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington D.C will surely dominate Cripple Creek this year. In the past, The AVTT group has also set up a dog tag display commemorating all soldiers lost in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past eleven years.

Several tributes and ceremonies are planned at the traveling memorial and when it comes to music and entertainment they have gone all out to keep you happy.  Click here for the complete entertainment lineup.

Don't worry about finding a place to lay your head either.  Here is a complete list of lodging so there is surely a place within your means and budget.
