Twenty-eight thousand cartons of California cantaloupe have been voluntarily recalled in 21 states, including Colorado. Salmonella was found during routine product testing at DFI Marketing, a Fresno-based distribution center, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The Colorado Department of Public Heath said all of the potentially contaminated cantaloupes are now off the shelves in Colorado stores.
